	Geo-ecologist, specialized on vegetation science, landscape ecology; travel journalist. Research activities: Capercaillie habitats, River dynamics Outdoor activities: Experienced bike traveler in over 20 European countries, first to cycle in Greenland during winter. touring-guide at the ADFC Bayreuth (German Cycling Club) and organizer of the winter programm "Fernweh Radreisevorträge". Specialist for logistics, orgainzation, and food supplies for expeditions in extreme coldness. Production of dehydrated expedition food (fruit, vegetable, meat, pemmican, muesli, energy bars, etc.) Road bike racing, especially long distance self-supported races (Trondheim-Oslo, Paris-Brest-Paris). Other interests are gardening (including bee hives and chicken), and cooking.

	Biologist, working in plant science. Other interests: Carnivorous plants Outdoor activities: Experiences in bike touring in remote regions of Patagonia, Mongolia and Gobi Desert, Namibia, the Australian desert, Kamchatka, the Tibetan High Plateau, and the Siberian winter. Occasional participation in long distance self-supported races (Trondheim-Oslo, Paris-Brest-Paris, Bayern 1200), mountainbike marathon races as well as self-support mountain bike rides (GST). Other interests are mountaineering and trekking, rock climbing, watching the chicken in Andy's garden and eating delicious food other bike tours
