Travel Philosophy

Our interest is to explore landscapes, geology and vegetation of remote regions of the world. We are especially fascinated by deserts, steppes, mountains, and the Arctics.

The mountain bike is an ideal means of traveling, allowing us to rides on small tracks as well as to cover large distances. At the same time, traveling by bicycle gives us a maximum of independence. Sometimes however, we prefer to go on foot (especially climbing mountains or trekking tours in arctic regions).

Our way of traveling is in self-organized and self-supported expedition style giving us most freedom and independence during the tour.

There are three key factors that are important for success of our way of touring: (i) good planning of trip, (ii) excellent and reliable equipment, and (iii) the right kind of nutrition during the tour. Therefore, we usually take self-made dehydrated foods with us and rely only on equipment that we consider among the best and that has in the past proven to work for us. That way, we can concentrate on the mental and physical challenges of the expedition. We have the freedom to enjoy the tour instead of worrying about problems with food and equipment.
